The purpose of the annual Music From China International Composition Competition is to promote and encourage the creation of new Chinese instrumental music. The competition draws submissions from Asia, North America and Europe and forms the basis of the Music From China Prize. The winners (up to three, plus commendations) receive a New York premiere.
